Unifiram
Unifiram, like sunifiram, is an AMPA-kine compound meaning it upmodulates the AMPA neurotransmitters which are a part of the Glutamergic “excitatory” system. Glutamate and the rest of the excitatory system is responsible for promting neuronal firing. In this way Unifiram’s AMPA-kine activity improves synaptic transmission in the brain. A potent antiamnesic compound with potency (based on volume) a few thousand-fold that of piracetam.
Unifiram has anti-hypnotic properties as well, it has been shown to reduce the duration of hypnotic properties of the powerful barbiturate phenobarbitol without any major motor skill impairment.
